In the center of the ceramic dish, there is a holder with a hole that firmly holds an incense stick in place. As the stick burns, the ashes drop into the dish. It can also be used for burning cone, coil or wood chip incense. This wheel burner is thicker and deeper than most wheel burners, having a deeper dish than most. Simply light your incense stick and place it into the hole in the center of the wheel (dish). As the stick burns, the ashes will fall into the dish itself. For cone, coil or wood chip incense, you can just place it anywhere in the dish. In time, ashes will build up within the dish. Just empty the ashes into the trash and clean the dish. You can clean it with mild soap and water and then dry with a soft cloth, or just wipe it out dry, with a soft cloth.
