The Soleil Sun Alarm Clock (Sun Alarm Ultima) works for the majority of people, however, some need a brighter simulated sunrise to wake them.  The optional controller gives you a brightness of up to 300 watts. Simply connect it to your Sun Alarm clock and to any regular lamp, with a maximum bulb wattage of 300 watts, you can wake up to a much brighter simulated sunrise from your lamp. I gave my husband the Sun alarm clock for Christmas. Although we have only had it a short time, we have already used the nap and sunset features. Both of those settings allow you to use the alarm without changing your normal settings. We have not yet experimented with all of the features of the clock, but we found the directions easy to understand and the clock easy to set. He was pleased with the product.

I couldn't be happier with this product! Sometimes I sleep through my regular alarm clock, which seems amazing to me, but when that happens my sun alarm clock wakes me up gently and peacefully. It's as if I decided on my own to open my eyes and wake up. It's easy to change the time the light comes on, which is important because my work hours vary during the week. It wakes up my dogs gently as well, which means they don't jump all over the bed and aren't as hyper as they used to be. All in all I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.
