GelFoam
Underneath the Faux Fur Cover is the specially designed, patented GelFoam bed that molds and shapes to the contour of your pet's hips and joints to relieve pressure that can cause pain and discomfort. It's wonderfully comfortable for all pets, but for aging, ailing, and arthritic suffering pets, the GelFoam bed has HUGE therapeutic benefits.

Temperature:
Naturally, a dog's body temperature should be between 101ºF -102ºF. If the pet's body is cold during the winter and the exterior temperature is dramatically cooler, the GelFoam pet bed does an efficient job of insulating the pet, because the cold travels slowly through the dead air space in the GelFoam cells, thus making the bed nice and warm.

In addition, the Gel effect of the bed keeps pets cool during the summer months. When the pet's body temperature is dramatically warmer than the bed's skin (which is at room temperature), the GelFoam will naturally pull heat from the pet much faster than with standard bedding materials. This creates a cooling effect for the animal, and it makes the GelFoam pet bed a more efficient product than the standard poly-fill beds that are less dense.

Natural Nesting Shape
The Gelpedic GelFoam pet beds provide a patented contour that gives your pet a natural pre-nested shape for ultimate comfort and security.

Naturally, your pet likes to be cradled to sleep in a curled-up position. To get this nesting position, sometimes the pet will walk in circles and paw/scratch at the ground. This is a natural instinct that animals in the wild as well as domestic animals do before lying down. In the wild, animals search for a secure location to lie down. Many times, the locations the animals choose will consist of tall brush or grass for their security. To push the grass down, they have to walk over the grass (sometimes walk in circles) or push the grass down to sleep on. After they've created their comfortable, den-like atmosphere, they curl up and go to sleep.

Because each bed is only 3-1/2 inches tall, a pet with sore joints and hip muscles can painlessly enter the bed. Other pet beds compromise the security of the 360° shape in order to allow the pet to enter the bed.

Repel-A-Flea / Aromatic Freshness
Each GelFoam pet bed utilizes natural eucalyptus to repel fleas, mites, and ticks from your pet's bed, while providing a wonderful Aromatic Freshness.

The Repel-A-Flea system consists of 2 - 4 packets of natural, ground eucalyptus plants placed in special reservoir pouches. These pouches are molded into the GelFoam bed. The dimensions of each pouch are 2” x 1” x 1”. Authentic eucalyptus from California is ground up and strategically placed into the small pouches.

Faux Fur Cover:
Each Gelpedic pet bed has a removable cover, with very soft, cozy faux fur on the top. When your pet lies down on the fur, with the GelFoam underneath, it makes for an extremely comfortable, soothing, therapeutic experience that your pet will love. For the side and bottom material, you have a choice of 2 different colors, either Khaki or Blue Denim. The GelFoam under the faux fur keeps the bed cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
