The Kensington Garden 2-tier solar fountain / birdbath is made from lightweight resin with a white weathered stone finish. Using state of the art solar panel and solar pump technology, power is supplied to the fountain from natural outdoor sun and light. The solar panel is built in, residing in the water basin itself. The 6 volt solar pump in the bottom of the basin, beneath the built-in solar panel, continuously circulates the water up through the center spout, creating water movement and gentle babbling water sounds over both tiers. The birds love it, and so will you. I have been trying to use less electricity yet I din't want to give up my desire to have a birdbath fountain in my garden so I chose to go with the solar fountain. I love it and I feel I am doing good for my enviroment. No cost to operate the fountain and it works great!

I purchased the birdbath fountain as I didn't have the ability to get electrical to my flower garden nor did I want to pay the price to have it installed for an electric fountain. Even though it only operates when the sun is out I have had more enjoyment from when it can operate than not. Its a great addition to my garden. I love it and so do the birds.

I purchased the Kensington solar bird-bath a few weeks ago to place in a mulch-bed/garden in my front entryway. I have been pleased with it's appearance but a little disappointed with its function. I wish the solar panel had capabiilty of holding it's charge so that the fountain would function during overcast days or when the sun isn't at it's brightest. Even an electric back-up would satisfy that request. Other than that, this is a very appealing product.
