Simple elegant design makes a nice element at the front entry to the house. Appears to have a high level of evaporation, though. Needs water refill once or twice a day.

the large kampala is great. it has a beautiful presence. get it, not the small one. the small one splashes too much water over the rim of the basin (the basin rim is too close to the base of the top piece, so the cascading water crashes down and then laps over the basin rim). this does not happen with the large (although i have not put any rocks in it yet, which could effect lapping). be aware however, that with the large kampala the rate of evaporation is extreme (i geuss do to the large surface area of the casscading water). but, all in all, i love it and am happy i got it.
