The battery pack charges during direct sunlight when the pump is running. In good sunshine, the pump will get power from solar panel directly all while the solar power will slowly charge the battery. A fully charged battery pack will run the pump for about 5 hours with no direct sunlight.

Note: LED lights only work at night and will turn on/off automatically. The LED lights will light up the fountain at night making a beautiful water display.

You operate this pump with the remote controller turning it on/off to conserve energy if you wish. Comes with a 2 hour timer to conserve energy too. A 24 hour cycle memory function lets you run the fountain at the same times each day if you wish.

This unique lily floating solar pond fountain can be used in any pond or pool without electricity. Using state of the art solar panel and solar pump technology, power is supplied to this solar feature from natural outdoor sun and light. The solar panel is built in to the lily pad.

The battery generally lasts between 12-18 months, but with repeated charges and discharge cycles the battery will become less efficient and battery capacity may reduce.  If the battery does appear less efficient you may try and boost charge it.  In order to boost charge the battery you must leave off for 2-3 sunny days to allow maximum charge to the battery.  If the boost charge does not help the battery than you will need to replace it.  A new battery can be found at local hardware stores.
