Lowering Stress at the Office

My boss at work has tried to lower his stress. He used office fountains, took up smoking and even started exercising, only to give up on all three. The advantage is that when he gives up on another trial I get to take the items he doesn’t want.

The first thing he tried was the indoor fountains. He didn’t give them a good enough chance and certainly didn’t experience what was so clearly on offer. Every time he would turn it on he soon got a call or got up to ask someone a question. He can’t relax even if you filled him with drugs and told him there was nothing to do.

One day he just didn’t use the fountain moved it to one side and I took it for myself. I didn’t use the fountain for myself though. Instead, I would trick him into using it by putting it on in the background. When he has been working all night, sometimes he falls asleep in his room and this is when I put the fountain on and helped him relax. I don’t know how much it works, but when he comes out of his sleep instead of being stressed, he seems to be in a better mood.

Now the water fountain is always in his room and I can always use it to help make him feel better. I’m only his secretary, but when he’s in a good mood it makes my job easier. Maybe in the future I can get another fountain to make his mood even better.
