Bean Bag Furniture and Raising Children
When you have a kid there are a lot of things to get used to. Your whole life changes and sooner or later it’s time to get into a new routine. The problem is that your routine can change a lot as the child grows up. Mine is still changing, though now I’m starting to pick things up as I go along, rather than struggling.
One of the most recent changes was decorating my kid’s room. He was too old for the style and really needed new items such as bean bag chairs and a bigger bed. He was really excited as it meant growing up to be bigger. But the decorating wasn’t just for him, it was for me too. I could now read to my son the way my dad did to me.
Once we decorated, my son enjoyed bed time and almost lived in his new room. I would pull the bean bag chairs up to the side of the bed, take the book from the cabinet and start reading to my son, who was tucked up in his new bed. For me, reading to him was as much fun for me as it was for him.
Sometimes there is a problem though. I enjoy reading, but I also have a habit of falling to sleep before my son. He’ll look round and tap me on the head asking me to finish the chapter. I can’t help it, the bean bag chairs are too comfortable and the reading makes me sleepy.
